Is CBD Oil Beneficial for Skin?

CBD oil has a number of benefits for skin including anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and soothing effects.

CBD is a known anti-inflammatory, which means that it can be helpful in reducing redness and spots on skin -- as inflammation can be a cause of acne.

Is it also a quality antioxidant which can be helpful in restoring the health of skin, as well as minimising wrinkles!

CBD oil has also been found to soothe sensitive skin and studies have suggested that it could be helpful in inhibiting certain triggers of disorders like psoriasis and improving eczema-prone skin. CBD works to improve the immune system and could therefore have an impact upon eczema that is linked to autoimmune response and allergens.

All-Rounder: CBD Balm

CBD balm is made from organic coconut oil, beeswax, shea butter and cocoa butter, which is then mixed with quality CBD oil. It combines natural ingredients that are known for improving the condition of skin with that of organic CBD oil. It is therefore a fantastic way to treat a range of conditions, but particularly dry skin.

Cream for Sport Recovery

Sports gel is designed to relieve muscle soreness and CBD is the perfect way to take this a step further.

CBD stimulates the production of cytokines, which reduce inflammation. This means it helps athletes of all varieties to recover more quickly from workouts and the stresses which sport puts on the body. Combining CBD oil with menthol and hot-pepper extract (capsaicin) allows Dr Kent’s sport gel to interact with nociceptive receptors and thermosensitive neurons 5,6,7,8 to bring relief and healing after sport.

Cream for Joint Pain

CBD oil is known to impact the way the brain perceives and deals with pain, and is used as a pain relief supplement by thousands of people. It also has powerful anti-inflammatory properties -- and inflammation is the leading cause of joint pain.

Studies have also suggested that glucosamine sulphate and sodium chondroitin sulphate are also helpful in reducing inflammation. Dr Kent Glucosamine Cream combines these active ingredients with CBD to reduce joint pain.

It is applied directly to the joint that’s hurting, such as the knee or elbow, and results in an immediate cooling sensation, followed by a warming feeling and relief from pain.

Cream for Chronic Venous Insufficiency

Dr Kent also have a cream, ‘Cream for Tired Legs’, that is tailored to improve the symptoms of chronic venous insufficiency (CVI).

This is a condition that affects a huge number of the adult population and describes the process by which the veins in the legs become less efficient and returning blood to the heart. It means that blood can pool in the legs, leading to tiredness and aching.

Dr Kent’s cream for tired legs is a combination of horse chestnut and butcher’s-broom extract with CBD oil. It works in two ways. Firstly, by direct vasodilatation of the veins, helping to improve blood flow and therefore ease pain. Secondly, through the anti-inflammatory effects of CBD.
