Our hemp essential oil (10ml) from is extracted from fresh industrially-grown hemp flowers that have a high content of plant terpenes. These create a rich and distinct aroma of hemp. The hemp plants are grown organically without the use of herbicides or pesticides and each hemp plant used to make the terpene essential oil is carefully selected and hand harvested to ensure the very best.
The hemp terpenes are extracted and refined through steam distillation to contain a wide range of organic compounds to capture that unique aroma and flavour. The final hemp essential oil has been tested and analysed to check cannabinoid ratio and microbiological adequacy, ensuring the highest quality terpene product.
Our products are made from organic hemp material, which means they are grown and cultivated free from herbicides or pesticides. Each flower that creates the terpene essential oil is harvested by hand. They are then dried naturally before undergoing the extraction process.
Every step of production is done under strict GAP and GDP regulations. The hemp essential oil is then tested in certified laboratories for microbiological purity, heavy metals, residual solvents and cannabinoid content. This means that not only do you get organic hemp terpenes, but you get the best and highest quality.

What Are Hemp Terpenes?
Terpenes are organic compounds that contribute to a plant’s fragrance, colour and flavour. Terpenes are often used in perfumes, in flavourings and in essential oils to create the desired smell or taste. They are the foundation of our experience with food and fragrance.
Hemp terpenes are what create the specific smell and taste associated with the hemp plant, and with CBD oil and other hemp derivatives.
Hemp Essential Oil Benefits
There are a range of benefits associated with hemp essential oil.
The compounds in hemp essential oil that (arguably!) bring the most benefits are myrcene and caryophyllene terpenes. These are active ingredients and have powerful anti-inflammatory properties.
Myrcene is an antidepressant, anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial, antiseptic, antioxidant, anti-carcinogen, and also regulates permeability of cell membranes. It’s an analgesic (pain relief), muscle relaxant, and sedative. This means it could help with diabetes, insomnia, stress, inflammation, and even cancer. (Source)
Caryophyllene is thought to function as an anti-inflammatory and analgesic, and an anti-anxiety and anti-depressant compound, partly due to its connected with the CB2 receptor. It’s been suggested that is could help reduce alcohol cravings and might even have positive effects for cancer patients. (Source)
Hemp essential oil contains a huge range of other terpenes in addition to myrcene and caryophyllene which means its benefits are wide ranging!
It’s also worth noting that hemp essential oil doesn’t contain THC, which causes the psychoactive effects seen with cannabis use, which means that it’s safe for daily use. Cannabis typically contains 3%-20% THC, while hemp plants that are legally grown in the UK, and those that go into our hemp essential oil, contain at most 0.3% THC -- and often less. Due to the process of steam distillation, hemp essential oil is made up of terpenes which means it should contain even less THC than is found even in CBD oils.
